Nouralrabee Mohammad
Syrian conceptual and fine art photographer
My journey with the lens began in 2010 when I started working as an independent photographer, driven by a deep fascination with light, memory, and human expression.
Throughout the years, I’ve immersed myself in various creative disciplines. I took part in film workshops in Damascus and Beirut through the Lebanese Academy of Cinema, and participated in interactive theater labs in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). One of my early interdisciplinary works was a performance piece created for the Red Cross's 50th anniversary celebration of humanitarian work in Syria.
In 2021, I joined director Osama Ghanam as assistant director and video artist on the theatrical production *Shams wa Majd*, developed within the Damascus Theater Lab at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. I also collaborated with renowned artist Youssef Abdelke as his assistant and documentary photographer, capturing the creative process behind his work for the art book *The Seventies of Abdelke*, which chronicles a pivotal era in his artistic evolution.
My practice continues to grow at the intersection of photography, cinema, and performance, rooted in a desire to tell stories that linger—quietly but powerfully—between image and memory.
