Photographer: Mariah Adams

My name is Mariah Adams and I'm the owner of Mariah Ann Photography. Growing up, my Nana was a photographer and I loved to be her little model. But it wasn't until I was much older that I first picked up a camera for myself. Once I did, though, I was immediately in love and knew photography was my true passion. And then I became a Mom and quickly discovered my love of photographing newborns and children. My son has grown up with my camera always in front of him.



Then I moved to a small town full of big character for 2 years and spent a lot of time walking up and down town taking photos of all the interesting things I could find, including all the local businesses.



It was 2020 when I moved back to Sacramento, and have been focusing on my love of nature photography, especially the small details that most people don't notice. I've also been working on expanding my portfolio to include portraits and family pictures for all ages and family sizes.

In 2021 my health took a turn for the worse and I've been diagnosed with several chronic illnesses. Now I am unable to do things as much as I would like, and I have to use a mobility device to get around. But this has not dampened my love of photography and I continue to pursue my passion, but with new measures to accommodate my disability.
