My first toy is a pencil.
I have been drawing portraits of people all my life, under any circumstances.
Each graphic image, be it a silhouette outlined in one movement or even just a blank sheet of paper, for me always means only a part of something larger, becomes an object for study and search for harmony with the circle of reality. Previously, portraits were painted in oils and watercolors, and placed in rich frames. Today these works of art hang in museums. Only a “lucky” few can afford to order a portrait using classical technique. Photographic portraiture is increasingly becoming part of the lives of many, many people.
Favorite genres are invariably portraits and everything that concerns a person: interiors and objects surrounding him, emotions, plasticity, energy and expressiveness of gestures, etc.
