Photographer: Tomas Balbuena

Born in Mendoza, Argentina, started with photography in my late 20's as a medium to escape programming. Falling in love with the camera started doing weddings, sports, newborns, abstracts, etc. until I found my field: portrait.
Thats how I landed as photographer on cruise ships were I escalate quickly until become Senior Ph, training new teams, maintaining equipments and learning about printings and printers.
During pandemic back in Mendoza I became one of the first regional photographers who become published more than a dozen of times in international magazines like Luxia, Mob Journal, Imirage, and many many more, from USA to Australia.
This push me start teaching and give talks in the region inspiring new photographers, how to deal with the creative block and how to find ways to express the ideas that we get.
After pandemic I got back to cruise ship under different role: videographer, creating commercial spots, institutional pieces, testimonials, etc. Exploring the world of the audiovisual and putting in practice my knowledge to deliver pieces in search of breaking boundaries, doing my best and looking the ways to explore and improve.
My current objective: becoming a Hasselblad ambassador. I know, is one of the most hardest and irreal dreams I have, but what are the dreams if not to follow it and make it true? Thats why Im doing my best and even if is not enough, I will push even more to improve myself, learn, and inspire the people that see my work.
